  6. To the extent of any inconsistency, these terms and conditions apply.

AusBiotech reserves the right to amend these terms from time to time. Unless notified to you, the terms governing your attendance at a course will be those in force at the time of your conference and event registration or conference and event attendance if you did not register (as applicable).

AusBiotech conferences and event refund policy
By registering to attend an event, or agreeing to an invitation to attend you, as a prospective delegate, acknowledge you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this agreement. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to AusBiotech at [email protected].
Conference Registrations – including but not limited to all conferences hosted or co-hosted or organised by AusBiotech, such as AusBiotech national conference, AusMedtech, BIO, AusAg & Foodtech Summit, Investment Series, and AusEvent conferences, etc.

  1. Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the conference start date will receive a 75% refund, less a $150 administration fee.
  2. Cancellations made 31 to 89 days prior to the conference start date will receive a 50% refund, less a $250 administration fee.
  3. No refund will be issued within 31 days of the conference start date.
  4. Reasonable efforts will be made to process refunds within 2 weeks of cancellation notice.
  5. Substituting names will be only accepted at least 2 weeks prior to the conference start date.
  6. In the case of COVID-19 related event cancellations or Government issued travel restrictions, full refunds will be issued.
  7. Other COVID-19 related cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing and will be considered.

Requests must be submitted in writing to AusBiotech by email [email protected]. Registrations are valid for the named attendee only. Transferring of registrations during the conference is prohibited and security personnel will be verifying name badges on entry/exit to the venue.

Event Registrations – including but not limited to all small and medium events hosted, co-hosted or organised by AusBiotech, such as state events, BioCheers, Women in Life Sciences Luncheon, Broker Meets Biotech series, etc.

  1. Cancellations made more than 31 days prior to the event start date will receive a refund, applicable only to paid events, less a $50 administration fee. No refund will be made for registration fees of $50 or less.
  2. ancellations made within 31 days of the event start date will not receive a refund.
  3. Reasonable efforts will be made to process refunds within two weeks of cancellation notice.
  4. Substituting names will be only accepted at least one week prior to the event start date. Requests must be submitted in writing to AusBiotech by email [email protected]. Registrations are valid for the named attendee only. Transferring of registrations during the conference is prohibited and security personnel will be verifying name badges on entry/exit to the venue.
  5. AusBiotech membership refund policy

Membership subscription payments are non-refundable.

Information regarding event registrations

  1. Payment of registration fees must be made on-line via the 'Register Here' link. Payment can be made via Visa, Mastercard and Amex. All payments must be made in Australian dollars (AUD). All pricing is inclusive of Australian Goods & Services Tax (GST 10%) and is subject to change without notice.
  2. Individual event registrations are only valid for use by the person named on the registration, even if from the same organisation. Group registration discounts and 1-day registration options are available should individuals be looking for reduced rates.
  3. Should you wish to attend under a corporate membership, you must be a current employee of said organisation and listed within the corporate membership as a corporate nominee. If your membership is not valid for the current membership cycle, your registration will revert to a non-member registration rate.   4. To qualify for a student discounted registration, you must have a current tertiary ID, not be working full-time and select the correct student registration type (member of non-member). Your student ID must be brought with you to the conference for verification at registration. Only eligible students will receive the student registration rates once identification has been confirmed.
  5. To qualify for an academic discounted registration, you must have current ID showing you are an eligible academic (full time lecturer of an accredited institution or university) and select the academic registration type. Your ID must be brought to the conference for verification. If your academic ID is not current at the time of the conference, then you will be charged the difference to upgrade to a full conference registration or you will forfeit your registration.
  6. To qualify for the developing country discounted registration, your country of residence must be on the list of developing countries. Your ID must be brought to the conference for verification, if your ID cannot verify your country of residence, then you will be charged the difference to upgrade to a full conference registration or you will forfeit your registration.

AusBiotech Privacy Statement – 2017
This Privacy Policy applies to the services offered by AusBiotech Ltd (ABN 87 006 509 726) at the ausbiotech.org website.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the AusBiotech Ltd website. Usage of the website is conditional upon you agreeing to be bound by this Privacy Policy. Your personal information is important to us. This is intended to comply with the Privacy Act 1988. AusBiotech understands the importance of your privacy and that you have the right to control how your personal information is collected and used.

Collecting Your Personal Information
AusBiotech will not collect any personal information about you without your consent. AusBiotech will only collect personal information that is provided by you and information/statistics about how you utilise AusBiotech’s website. For example, event registration, membership profile amendments and pages visited. The Site retains the email address of people who send emails through the “Contact Us” facility, for the purpose of sending a response. They are stored in a secure area within and will not be disclosed without your consent.

Use of and Disclosure of Your Personal Information
AusBiotech will not use or disclose any information, as is required by law, or if we believe it is required to provide you with a service that you have requested. AusBiotech will not sell your personal information to any service provider or mail house. AusBiotech may send event and news updates which you have requested or which are provided to all members as part of membership services.

Therefore, your information may sometimes be supplied to a service provider (example: journal distribution mail house), subject to confidentiality agreements, but will not be otherwise disclosed to any other company without your consent.

Communication
AusBiotech will regularly send information to you via email as you have requested or in-line with expectations of membership. If you do not wish to receive this information, you may request your contact details to be removed from the AusBiotech files, by contacting us via [email protected]. Please allow 28 days for this request to be processed.

Storing Your Personal Information
You are able to, at any time, view your personal information that AusBiotech holds about you by accessing your file on our website or contacting us via [email protected]. Should you want your personal information deleted, AusBiotech will take all reasonable and legal steps to delete your information. AusBiotech will endeavour to keep any information you provide to us as secure as possible. AusBiotech will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to your personal information. AusBiotech may use national or international facilities to process or back up its information and as a result, may transfer your personal information to our national or international facility for storage. Please advise AusBiotech immediately if there is any unauthorised access to your personal information.

You will be allocated a user name and password to be able to access certain sections of the website. AusBiotech is not responsible for the security and confidentiality of your password and log in information.

AusBiotech and Links to Other Websites
As a service to our members AusBiotech provides links to external websites. These sites are not under control of AusBiotech and as such we are not responsible for the content and conduct of companies linked to our website.

Photography
You acknowledge and consent that during your attendance at this event your image or voice may be recorded via video, photograph or by any other means (“recorded”) by an officer or official of this event, which may be distributed or published at the discretion of AusBiotech. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to formally advise AusBiotech in writing.
